Bengaluru's largest multimodal logistics park in South India coming soon

The project worth Rs 17.70 billion is being undertaken by Bengaluru MMLP, a special-purpose vehicle with three stakeholders. The majority stake (51.29%) is owned by NHAI?s National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML), followed by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (32.38%) and Rail Vikas Nigam (16.33%).

On August 29, 2023, an agreement was signed by the SPV with the private firm PATH Bengaluru Logistics Park, which would construct the project under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.

According to the agreement, the concessionaire would be responsible for developing and operating warehousing facilities, while NHLML would only charge for the lease.

Named as MMLP, the facility aims to enhance connectivity through various transportation modes. Its strategic location includes the construction of an industrial park on its eastern flank by KIADB. The Bengaluru-Hubballi-Mumbai railway line runs to the south, and to the north is the Satellite Town Ring Road?s Dobbspet-Doddaballapur-Hoskote stretch (NH 648). The STRR is expected to link the MMLP with the Kempegowda International Airport (55 km away) and the Chennai port through the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway. Dobbspet, renowned for its mechanical, automobile, and electrical engineering industries, is situated about 12 km away.
