Vermeer announces key dealership in India

Vermeer Corporation has established a wholly-owned equipment dealership in India to enhance its sales and customer support capabilities across the country. The new dealership, Vermeer Equipment India Private Limited, will operate under the name Vermeer India. The dealership will be led by Vermeer India Country Head, T Ramesh, based in Chennai, with sales and service personnel located in the major regions of India.

“India has been a significant market for Vermeer over the last several decades as we have provided our specialty equipment to help the country achieve its advancing infrastructure and environmental goals,” said Mike Spaur, Managing Director of Vermeer Asia Pacific. “We look forward to this next stage of supporting our customers in India to help them and our brand grow as we work together to make a positive impact across the country.”

The new dealership will focus on sales, service and support of specialty equipment for the underground utility construction, recycling and forestry, tree care, rental and landscape markets in India. This includes maintaining a robust inventory of specialty tooling, parts and equipment such as horizontal directional drills, utility tractors, brush chippers, stump cutters, mini skid steers, large grinders for wood waste processing and more.

VE Commercial Vehicles will continue to serve as the dealer for specialty excavation products in India, including large tracked trenching and surface excavation machines for mining and pipeline markets. Worldwide Machinery Solutions Pvt Ltd (WMSPL) will no longer be distributing Vermeer products.
