Tiruchi airport infrastructure development is concluded

The finished infrastructure upgrade at Tiruchi International Airport significantly improves passenger experience, energy efficiency, and capacity. As the airport's design and project management consultant, Egis?a world leader in the consulting, construction engineering, and transportation sectors?has been instrumental in the development of the airport and its supporting infrastructure. The new integrated passenger terminal building, which covers an astonishing 75,000 square metres, has state-of-the-art amenities intended to serve 4.5 million people annually and a four-star sustainability certification from the Green Certification for Integrated Habitat Assessment. One of the unique features is a roof with a parametric curve that was influenced by the "gopuram" architecture of the area. Ornamental zinc-titanium cladding that is influenced by regional architecture serves as a roof shelter. The artwork and interior decor of the lounges are inspired by the architecture of nearby temples. A multicoloured artificial ceiling has been developed to give the structure an attractive appearance. Interior flooring designs evoke the feeling of a welcoming sign, akin to the traditional kolam pattern. In January of this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the integrated passenger terminal building at Tiruchi airport, which was successfully completed by Egis. Sandeep Gulati, the managing director of Egis South Asia, stated in a news release: "This accomplishment demonstrates our dedication to quality and innovation in the aviation infrastructure industry. In order to reach these milestones, Egis would like to thank all of the contributors and stakeholders.
