Mistry.Store Releases Building Material Sampling Van

Mistry.Store, a marketplace for home building products, has introduced a "sample store on wheels" for building supplies. The truck would deliver samples of building materials right to the offices of specialists involved in home construction, including architects, interior designers, and builders. The van would include a variety of samples from more than 75 firms in India's $25 billion home decor market, which purportedly employs more than five million people.

Nonetheless, the business emphasised that the industry remained incredibly fragmented due to issues including price opacity, fake goods, subpar customer service, and irregular professional fees.

“In line with our promise of simplifying building material purchases, we have launched this concept of a sampling van to make it easier for professionals to check and suggest products for their ongoing projects in and around the Delhi NCR region. In this phase the van will focus on core categories like boards and laminates, electricals and lights, sanitary and plumbing, hardware and plywood and will keep extending its categories,” said Vaibhav Poddar, co-founder of Mistry.Store.

Currently, there will be examples from more than eight different categories, making it simple for experts to select products for their ongoing projects in one step. Professionals must reserve a time slot through the centralised hotline number +91 80708 80707 at their leisure in order to obtain a sampling vehicle. The sampling vehicle is currently free to reserve, according to the business.

Mistry.Store is a platform for all house building experts that streamlines the procurement of building materials. It was established in 2022 by Vaibhav Poddar and Bhanu Mahajan. Along with notable angel investors like Maninder Gulati (OYO), Vasant Sridhar (co-founder, OfBusiness), Sumer Juneja (managing partner, SoftBank), Vikram Chopra (founder, Cars24), Rohit Kapoor (CEO, Swiggy), Alok Mittal (founder, Indifi), and Sharad Goenka (COO, Globalfaces), the start-up is backed by Waveform VC and Bharat Founders Fund.
