Bloom like the Gulmohar!

Mumbai-based Arjun Rathi Design, well known for its unique light collections that merge art, design, and function, has unveiled the latest series of lights- Gulmohar Bloom, that showcases the brand’s exquisite workmanship and inventive designs.

The latest series has been installed in the premises of a large 25,000 sq ft space, Almond. The installation has been done in the Pre-function area and comprises casted brass branches with over 200 hand-blown glass rondels inspired by the Indian Gulmohar Flower. The mix of colours, vermillion, Gulmohar-yellow and orange, are balanced out with marble-finished glass globes to balance out the lighting designed for the pre-function area. The botanical installation spans across 1300 square feet of ceiling area in two diagonally incremental branch systems, with the coloured glass giving a mix of reflected colours on the ceiling.

With branch-like fixtures and a web of flora and fauna-focused elements, it too credits leaves and flowers and natural elements as its first point of inspiration. The interconnected light spans across the entirety of the ceiling. Crafted in the sunset hues, the glass marvel stands to be an addition that can’t be ignored. The Gulmohar Bloom series exhibits Arjun Rathi Designs’ impeccable artistry and inventive forms. An interesting play of colors and designs makes it edgy, sophisticated, and fun. It is a unique series not just for its design but also for the colour palette.
