L&T bags contracts in domestic and overseas market

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) recently announced that its construction arm has secured significant contracts in the domestic and overseas market. The company did not specify the exact value of the contracts, but as per L&T specification, a significant contract ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.

The company, in a BSE filing, said that the Metallurgical and Material Handling (MMH) business of L&T Construction bagged engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders of coal processing plants in the domestic market and prestigious engineering and procurement project for a metallurgical plant overseas. These orders reflect the MMH’s expertise in executing complex metallurgical plants and a recognition of its overseas capabilities, said the company.
